Organically grown Merlot. Grown on 2ha of 8-12 year old vines on a south/southwest hillside facing the Pyr�n�es. Clay-limestone soils. Destemmed, 6-8 day maceration, then vinification and elevage in large concrete tanks for 6-8 months. A soft, easy drinking red wine from the Southwest, great for barbecues and other gatherings or a weeknight meal.

Domaine de S�ailles has been a family-owned estate since 1961 and lies in the commune of Mouchan in the heart of Gascony. The Domaine de Seailles is one of the pioneers in organic viticulture in the region. They have not used any chemical fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides and synthetic chemical products since 1998. The vineyards are planted on high hillsides with an exceptional terroir composed of fine clay lime soil and broken stone, with an east-south-east exposure and an amazing amount of sunshine. The estate, managed by Julien Lanclet and Laurent Lef�vre, is made up of 25 hectares of vineyards, evenly planted to white and red varietals: Sauvignon, Gros Manseng, Colombard and Ugni Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Syrah.
