Fleurie Ponci� comes from a beautiful old Gamay vineyard facing south towards the village of Fleurie. The grapes are vinified exactly the same as Cotton's other wines, showcasing the difference between his native terroir of Brouilly and the softer , more "refined" wines from Fleurie. Certified Organic. 100% Gamay. Parcel: Poncie. Vine Age: planted in 1960s-70s. Size: 1 ha. Soil: granite. Exposition: south. Altitude: 330 m. Spontaneous fermentation with whole cluster carbonic maceration in concrete. Ageing in wooden foudre and barrels that range from 14-48 hectoliters for 8 months. No SO2 added. Unfined and unfiltered. Vegan.
