Organic. 100% Xarel·lo. This is a single-vineyard wine drawn from the plot called Espenyalluchs, a gently sloping parcel at 400msl. It’s a single hectare planted with a careful massale selection of the best vines from Soler’s original 1945 plot called Vinya dels Taus. Soler says, “All the mystical wisdom of the symbolic old vineyard is transferred onto one slope, under a supervision which combines intuition and experience. From the first vintage in 2013, the majesty of the grape is revealed and offers a meditative profile of Xarel·lo.” The wine ferments and ages on the lees for nine months in four to six year-old French barrels (300L). Harvest was August 27th 2022; bottling on May 26th 2023. 3105 bottles produced.
