A lush white wine from a star producer in the province of Avellino. The man himself, Ciro Picariello, started the winery in 1997 and farms at high elevations to bring much needed acid to the normally flabby Fiano grape.
This wine is made from 100% Fiano that has been all hand harvested. The wine is fermented using ambient yeasts in stainless steel, as well as aged in stainless on its lees. It is then further aged in the bottle for 4 months before release.
This full yet fresh wine has notes of meyer lemon, apricots, smoked sea salt, and white pepper. Try it with sardine pasta, porchetta, or mushroom risotto!
