Hails from Trentino-Alto Adige. Pinot Bianco and Grignolino makes up the wine base. Carmine coloring; pigment comes from the carapace of a beetle from South America. Called a red bitter in the region and is traditionally mixed with dry sparkling wine and an orange twist over ice. Quinine, Gentian. 17% abv. A little sweetness up front, very dry and almost smokey on the finish. Cardoons and pungent dry herbs. Nice balance between rich, sweet and herbally bitter.
