Brown-Forman's take on the raspberry liqueurs produced in the Loire during the 1600's. This modern version is made at La Sistiere, a chateau in Cour-Cheverny. Raspberries, blackberries, black raspberries, blackcurrants, Madagascar vanilla, Moroccan citrus peel, honey and Cognac. 16.5% abv. "Sweet raspberry jam with no seeds sticking in your teeth" (DTP). Smells like luscious berries. Rich, smooth viscous mouthfeel. One thinks as thick as this is that's there's going to be sediment, but it's clean. Berry notes abound. A cocoa note sneaks in on the finish.
