45% abv. For this concoction that is believed to be the ancient inspiration for Chartreuse, Dolin foraged plants specifically from the wormwood family. The herbs are macerated in spirit, distilled and then re-macerating with fresh plants in that distilled spirit to gain it's colour. Smells ripe on the nose. Plentiful but balanced sweetness on the palette; somewhere in between green and yellow chartreuse in style. This beverage is very fun to drink, and can be used as an affordable substitute in any cocktail that calls for Chartreuse. Most commonly drinking swiftly in a shot after dinner or Apres-Ski. The French also enjoy this liqueur in a simple cocktail over ice, with tonic water and a squeeze of lemon.
