An underappreciated gem from the Kentucky Bourbon Distillers stable. Dramatic. Redolent of dusty sugarcane and tobacco scents, with the sugarcane getting burnt and caramelized on the way out. Vanilla and tanned leather on the palate. Adding a little water opens up the dried fruit and floral notes. Nice rye spice lingering on the finish. 10 years old. 107 proof. Love this whiskey with an ice cube and a few dashes of a good orange bitters. -DTP
