Amaro, made in Brooklyn! Company founded by two sommeliers who, while travelling through Italy, discovered such a passion for the classic Italian digestivo that they decided to start crafting their own. Base spirit is distilled in house from cane sugar. Gentian, Angelica, Orris Root, Cape Aloe, Cardamom, Coriander, et al. All botanicals macerated separately for 2 weeks before blending. Small amount of sugar and organic color added. Aged in Van Brunt Stillhouse American Whiskey barrels for a minimum of 8 weeks. On the nose: Clove, cinnamon, root beer, menthol, black pepper. Sweet round mouthfeel but not syrupy; cherry and sandalwood on the palate - spicy, peppery finish. Very satisfying way to end a nice meal. 30% abv.
