A delicious leaner red that is part of a lineup of easy drinking and accessable wines out of Monferrato DOC. The grapes are from Azienda Agricola Gaia in the province of Alessandria in Piedmont. The idea of Prima Piuma is a collaberation between Gaia's oenologist Gianluca Ravizza and Summer Wolff, who lives 2 hills over in the farm Cascina Iuli. The Gaia estate itself is a polyculture farm of fruit orchards and organic grapes. This bottling is 100% organic Grignolino that was fermented with native yeasts and aged in stainless steel to maintain freshness.
