A pretty white wine made in a family run estate in Alsace. Run by the couple Christophe and Yuka Mittnacht, their domaine was one of the first to be certified biodynamic in all of Alsace.
This wine is a blend of 70% Pinot Blanc and 30% Pinot Auxerrois from 40+ year old vines that are all biodynamic. The grapes are fermented with indigenous yeast in large, old oak barrels and aged in the same type of container.
This well textured wine has notes of bartlett pear, lemon curd, celery salt and macadamia nuts. Try it with butternut squash, tuna, or pork tenderloin!
