The A.D. Laws Four Grain Bourbon was created for Laws Whiskey House in Denver, CO by Founding Distiller Jake Norris, who previously established himself as the first head distiiler for Stranahans Colorado Whiskey. Utilizing heirloom grains from family-owned Colorado farms, the four grain mashbill is comprised of 60% Corn, 20% Wheat, 10% Rye, and 10% Malted Barley. Open-air, on-grain fermentation, distilled in copper hybrid pot/column, the Bottled-in-Bond version is aged in 53 gallon barrels for 6+ years and bottled at 100 proof. Deep bronze hue with sparkling clarity. On the nose, grain-forward backed by honey, red apple, honeysuckle, and eucalyptus. Hugely flavorful in the mouth, with big leather and cigar leaf notes at first, then orange coffee cake, cherries jubilee, rye spice and wildflower honey. Cinnamon and allspice on the finish. Focused and linear throughout.
