This is Markus' entry-level Blaufr�nkisch and it comes from the vineyards of Satz, Schmalister and Stein�cker where the soils are chalky loam, and limestone. The grapes were handpicked at the beginning of October, destemmed and go into stainless steel tanks for fermentation. After pressing and maloactic, the wine was moved into large 2000L neutral wooden casks and aged for twelve months prior to bottling. It's what you'd want in a basic Blaufr�nkisch: juicy and bright with just enough grip.
