A wine made from rugged lands within the Penedes. Started by Carlos Esteva, this wine was made from vineyards that were set to be demolished and become a rock quarry. After acquiring the land he saved the vineyards and now we can taste what the forgotten vineyards can give us.
This wine is made from 80% Cariñena and 20% Garnacha, all organically farmed. The varietals are spontaneously fermented separately then aged in a combination of French and American oak for 6 months.
This robust yet lively wine has notes of blackberries, allspice, sage and thyme. Pair this with leg of lamb, pork shoulder, or grilled portobello mushrooms!
