A budget friendly wine from a small family estate within the Douro valley. The Carvalho-Martins family has tended to the Quinta Valle do Olmo estate for 4 generations.
The wine is made from a blend of Touriga Nacional, Tinta Barroca, and Touriga Franca. The grapes are hand harvested and after fermentation the wine is aged in new and old french oak barrels for 18 months.
This wine has notes of plums, mocha, cassis, and graphite. Try it with strip steak, beef stroganoff, or mushroom risotto!
