A true clos (walled vineyard) and eight hectare monopole of the Dutraive family. Made from the oldest vines in the vineyard, planted in the 1940s. Traditional vinification without sulfur and with natural yeast at very low temperatures. Carbonic maceration and little or no filtering, 11-12 months in 1-4 year old french oak barrels. A broader, richer version of the young vine bottling. Dutraive compares the Grand'Cour Clos VV to a baby Beaune Rouge in its muscle and bredth.
