From master distiller Paul Hletko at FEW Spirits in Evanston, IL, the American Gin is distilled from a bourbon mash (70% corn, 20% wheat, 10% malt), and redistilled with juniper, elderflower, lemongrass, coriander, Madagascar vanilla, angelica root and Cascade hops grown at the distillery. Nose: lime zest, bitter orange, soft juniper and vanilla. Mouth: creamy, round texture, but intensely vibrant and structured. Fruity in the middle, with a rich contribution from the hops, and a long, delicious finish. A big gin with a great balance top to bottom.- DTP
