70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 10% Malbec. The Cabernet Sauvignon comes from Cruz de Piedra and was planted in 1993. The Merlot also comes from Cruz de Piedra but was planted in 1967. The Malbec is from Agrelo and was planted in 1927.
Each variety ferments separately in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts. The varieties age separately for 36 months in French Nancy oak vats ranging in size from 10,000 - 35,000 liters. The blend is then assembled and the wine ages in stainless steel for 6 years until bottling where it finishes with an additional 11 years before release - giving it a total of 20 years aging.
