Luberri is located in the heart of northern Spain's Basque Country in Rioja Alavesa, where the Monje-Amestoy family farms old-vine, estate vineyards between the key villages of Elciego and Laguardia. Viura and Malvasia planted in well-drained, sandy-calcareous clay soil.
After a manual harvest, the bunches are destemmed and undergo a cold maceration before a soft pressing in a bladder press. The free-run must is then fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine is kept on the lees for two months with batonnage to extract maximum aromatic complexity.
