Sold in the United States since 1882. Estate grown hand harvested Marasca cherries (a 22,000 tree orchard!) from the Euganean Hills near Padova and Venice. The cherries are pitted before fermentation begins. Fermentation and maturation occur in larch vats. Small pot stills. Distillate is matured for two years in Finish Ash Vats. 32% abv. Less sweet than I would have expected, but good fresh cherry aromas and flavour.
