Developed in collaboration with author, historian and mixologist David Wondrich. A historically accurate version of a popular style of gin from the mid 1800's. "The "missing link" between London Dry and Dutch Genever in terms of style and sweetness. Botanicals include juniper, orange peel, lemon peel, coriander, cardamom and angelica. These are steeped in high-proof corn spirits. This is then married with one of Tad's whiskies, made from two row barley. This is all then distilled once more together in an alembic copper pot still. The resultant gin is then aged in barrel from 3 to 6 months. All ingredients are "naturally farmed." 44% abv. Aromas jump out of the glass. Lots of root-like flavours. Cardamom. Really intense and herbal, mellow on the finish. Richer than a London Dry. A gin one could sip on.
