The mash bill is all Barley; 50% is malted, 50% is unmalted. This is the traditional Irish whiskey recipe, and Redbreast is the only whiskey to currently use it. Aged 12 years in 2/3 Bourbon, 1/3 sherry casks. 40% abv. Butterscotch aromas and flavours. Sweeter style. Rich and full. Apples. Pale and shimmery gold. Raising and plump and sweet. Vanilla ice cream. Toasty, with a chocolate malt note. Spicy like chili pepper. Woodsy.
